My LA Diet
Day 1 ,  4/15/13 yes, just started today!
I have decided to go Paleo-Atkins this time for the weight loss phase and then ease into something more sustainable . My eating is off track today but starting now it will primarily be lean protein and greens until I’m down to 170 lbs ( a 27 lb loss from 197).

I will ingest this lean protein and greens in 5 small feedings per day of approximately 300 – 400 calories each for a total of 1500 – 2000 calories per day.  During the weight loss phase I do not plan to cheat at all.  The method is to employ total discipline.  Cheating during this phase would only be due to a lapse in focus and discipline.  The weight loss IS the reward and seeing myself at my goal weight satisfies fully more than any treat.  There will be plenty of goodies around when I am 5 lbs under my goal weight so I don’t have to feel deprived.

Plan is to lose approximately 2.5 – 3.0 lbs / week, so that diet plan would have me at my goal weight of 170 lbs in 10 weeks or on 6/24/13.

The plan is also to support the LA Diet with high volumes of calorie burning and body shaping activity including an aggressive strength building program and long-wind cardio on my bicycle and jogging or dancing. I have been exercising steadily up to this point so I am going to up the volume gradually from 2 to 3 hours per day. This is an advanced routine and you should not attempt my exercise volumes and intensities if you have not worked your way up to them. This would be approximately 1.5 hours of strength training (different muscle groups each day, 3 day rotation), and 1.5 hours of cardio such as 1 hour of biking and .5 hours of jogging, or 45 min / 45 min.

Starting Weight: 197 lbs
Total Weight Lost: 0
Goal Weight: 170 lbs
To Goal: 27 lbs
Feeding 1: 3 hardboiled eggs
Feeding 2: A bag of salted peanuts 10 oz, 1 cup Greek yogurt.
Feeding 3: 1 orange
Feeding 4: More peanuts and yogurt.
Feeding 5: 3 oz mozzarella cheese.
Activity: Rode bike 1 hour, mid body strength, moderate duration.
What went right: started eating discipline.
What went wrong: went crazy on peanuts.
